MANILA, PHILIPPINES — From smart home products and healthcare solutions to food, beauty and emerging technologies, more Taiwanese companies are looking to become part of everyday life in the Philippines as Taiwan Expo 2026 opens at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
The three-day exhibition, running until September 19, brings 125 Taiwanese companies together with Philippine businesses, institutions and potential partners. The event features products and solutions spanning artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, healthcare, agriculture, food and consumer goods.
For Filipino consumers, the expo offers a look at how technology is increasingly moving beyond the workplace and into homes, communities and daily routines.
Among the featured products are smart home technologies, consumer electronics, personal care products, healthcare supplies and other Made in Taiwan goods. The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion alone brings together 24 companies showcasing 50 products across smart technology, healthcare, consumer electronics and lifestyle categories.
Food is another major part of the exhibition. The Agritech and Food Pavilion is introducing Taiwanese specialty teas, tapioca pearls and processed food products to Philippine buyers as participating companies explore opportunities with distributors and retailers.
With the Philippine population exceeding 112 million, the country represents a sizeable consumer market for companies looking to establish stronger commercial ties.
But the expo is not only about consumer products.

Technology companies are also presenting solutions designed to address some of the country’s biggest development needs. These include artificial intelligence, visual recognition systems, collaborative robots, smart security, industrial monitoring and transportation technologies.
Energy is another key focus. Taiwanese companies are showcasing sodium-ion batteries, energy management systems, transformers and methanol-hydrogen generators that could support communities where expanding conventional electricity networks remains difficult.
Healthcare solutions are likewise being highlighted through the Smart Medical Pavilion, which features medical devices, biotechnology products, regenerative medicine and healthcare services.
The event reflects a broader push to strengthen Taiwan-Philippines cooperation, with organizers highlighting opportunities that extend beyond traditional industrial supply chains and into products and services that consumers encounter every day.
TAITRA Chairman James C. F. Huang emphasized the importance of trust in strengthening Taiwan-Philippines relations, while representatives from Taiwan and the Philippines pointed to growing opportunities in trade, investment, technology and business partnerships.
Organized by Taiwan’s International Trade Administration under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Taiwan Expo 2026 runs from September 17 to 19 at SMX Convention Center Manila.
